Rino Valido’s artistic beginnings fall within a figuration that encompasses the landscape in particular and the portrait much more nfrequently. The canvas and paper works will reach a decisive interpretative and tonal turning point in the second half of the Seventies when his experience in the Camargue will offer insight into a new approach that favours the emotional relationship of the contemplated to the detriment of the descriptive aim.
